Hey community - I wanted to give a quick technical roadmap update heading into the weekend. A lot has happened since the Hypergraph Hour last month so I wanted to share the team’s progress so far. Metagraphs - The first metagraphs are currently on TestNet. We’ve been running various testing scenarios and identifying/fixing bugs over the past several weeks. Access to project teams is being opened up slowly as stability increases. Security review - A security review will begin in mid-May and is expected to last 4-5 weeks. It will cover the Currency Framework and metagraph integration with the Global L0 with the goal of identifying any security issues that need to be addressed before releasing metagraphs to mainnet. Euclid SDK - We have two major features coming up for Euclid and the Currency Framework: customizable rewards logic and custom binary data support. The rewards logic customization will launch near the end of this month (May) along with additional updates to the Global L0 codebase to support multiple peer signers on metagraphs, and support for metagraph tokens through the Block Explorer API. The custom data support is a big deal in terms of opening up different use cases for metagraph development. It will expand on the Currency Framework to add the ability to accept, validate, and store custom data within a metagraph. Developers will have tools to introduce their own custom data schemas and validation logic into their metagraphs for the first time. It’s currently looking likely that set of features will release in early June if it’s not able to be included in the May release - very excited for this one. Lots more coming up over the next few weeks so stayed tuned for future updates. Have a great weekend!
